The department of conservation and management of cultural resources at the Faculty of Archeology and Tourism at the University of Jordan last week organized a scientific visit to a number of archaeological sites in the areas of Umm Qais and Jerash in the north of the Kingdom, in order to activate the practical role of students and raise awareness of the importance of antiquities and heritage. For their part, the students expressed their happiness to visit the city of a thousand columns in a rainy atmosphere, where the rainbows, pillars of history, squares and stones of the past were mixed, ppreciating the role of the university and the college in providing this opportunity for them, and to confirm from the heart of Jerash history and the cradle of antiquities that our tourism is fine.
