Dr. Oliver Pilz, Long-Term Lecturer of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the School's Department of Archaeology, is currently conducting, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities as well as the Department of Antiquities of Jordan, a restoration campaign in Jerash. A Jordanian team led by Italian chief restorer Franco Sciorilli is restoring three Roman marble statues found in the Eastern Baths at Gerasa. The project is funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation.
