Organizing a course on GIS program

Under the supervision of Engineer Mohammad Hussain Arabiyat, Head of the Land Division at the University of Jordan, the Department of Cultural Resources Management and Conservation held a lecture for the students. During the lecture, Engineer Arabiyat discussed the importance and objectives of the GIS program, as well as the various fields in which it is utilized. He also explained how this program can be beneficial in the fields of archaeology and heritage resource management.

The course included 6 hours of practical application, during which Engineer Arabiyat provided a comprehensive explanation to the students on how to use the program and employ it in documenting archaeological sites. He demonstrated how to create maps aimed at developing, restoring, and preserving these sites.

The students positively engaged with the course, asking numerous questions and applying practically what they learned.

At the end of the course, the Dean Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Arinat, presented Engineer Arabiyat with a shield on behalf of the college, expressing gratitude for his efforts in the success of the course.
