A dialogue session was held under the title: "Dialogue Session on the Occasion of the International Day of Rural Women." Recognizing the significant role of women in society and their participation in economic development in rural areas, the world celebrates the International Day of Rural Women on October 15th each year. This celebration acknowledges their role in enhancing agricultural and rural development, with a continuous focus on improving food security and eradicating poverty in rural areas.
In celebration of this occasion, the Faculty of Archaeology and Tourism at the University of Jordan, represented by the Department of Tourism Management, organized a session titled: "Rural Women in Jordan: Between Their Contribution to Economic Development and the Requirements for Recognition of Their Role." This session took place tomorrow, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 10:00 AM, at the Faculty of Archaeology and Tourism (Petra Auditorium). It was attended by representatives from civil society organizations, academic institutions, and various entities such as the Department of Statistics, the Jordan Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JHCO), and bookagri Foundation for Agro-tourism, in addition to several faculty members from the Faculty of Archaeology and Tourism. The session also featured success stories of women from various governorates of the Kingdom.
