The Department of Tourism Management at School of Archaeology and Tourism organized a special lecture on "Modern Trends in Tourism Education and Hospitality Management, and Funding Opportunities for Graduate Students." The lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Bakr Ayoun from Auburn University in the United States and Professor Dr. Gural Cetin from Istanbul University, and it was moderated by Professor Dr. Mamoun Allan. The lecture took place on Sunday, May 29, 2024.
The lecture focused on reviewing the latest trends in the fields of tourism education and hospitality management, as well as providing valuable information on the funding opportunities available for graduate students wishing to pursue their studies in this specialization, whether in the United States or Turkiye.
The appointment of the honorary professors in the Department of Tourism Management is part of the University of Jordan's efforts to attract distinguished professors and researchers to benefit from their extensive experience. This step contributes to enhancing the prestigious academic and professional reputation of the University of Jordan in general, and the Faculty of Archaeology and Tourism in particular.
Following the lecture, a group photo of the graduates of School of Archaeology and Tourism was taken. This was followed by a tour for the honorary professors appointed in the Department of Tourism Management at the Archaeology Museum and the Folk Heritage Museum.
