The Tourism Management Department at School of Archaeology and Tourism at the University of Jordan organized a workshop today on hotel contracts, presented by Hussam Al-Haj Eid from Falcon Tourism and Travel Company.
According to the Dean ,Prof. Dr. Ziad Al-Rawadieh, the workshop is part of a series of training programs conducted by the department to enhance the specialized skills of tourism management students and prepare them for the job market.
Al-Haj Eid discussed the concept of hotel contracts, their sections, types, room categories, and rates. He also covered reservations, booking mechanisms, reservation and cancellation policies, tax-related matters, and handling errors that may occur during these processes.
The lecturer also explained how to interact with hotel clients and management, highlighting hotel types, classifications, services offered by travel agencies, their communication methods, and their contracts with hotel establishments. He also talked about accounting requirements and obtaining the best rates in luxury hotels.
