School's Participation in International Heritage Day at the Deanship of Student Affairs Office

The International Heritage Day events were held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 18-19, 2022, at the Deanship of Student Affairs Office at the University of Jordan, with the participation of approximately 25 Arab and international countries. The exhibition was inaugurated by the President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nasser Obeidat, and attended by several ambassadors, counselors, cultural attaches from Arab and foreign countries, deans of faculties, faculty and administrative members, and a large crowd of university students.

The Folk Heritage Museum, affiliated with the School of Archaeology and Tourism, played a significant and essential role in organizing and supervising the Jordanian heritage pavilion. Inside the pavilion, traditional tools representing Jordanian society's lifestyle were displayed, along with a collection of traditional costumes representing the attire of various governorates of the Kingdom. This initiative aligns with the university's vision of integrating students into a multicultural and diverse university environment.

Special thanks to the Dean of the School, Dr. Mahmoud Arainat, and to Mr. Tarek Mahayrah, the curator of the Folk Heritage Museum, as well as to our colleagues at the Archaeological and Folk Heritage Museums, Dr. Muath Al-Faqhah, Mr. Manjad Al-Qasim, and Mr. Ameer Al-Khalaileh, for their efforts and work in the success of this day. Also, appreciation goes to the participating students from the School of Archaeology and Tourism.
