Lecture on "The Early Oldowan of Dawqara Formation in Zarqa Valley: Discovering, Studying, and Managing Paleolithic Sites"

On Monday and Wednesday, October 17th and 19th, 2022, a lecture titled "The Early Oldowan of Dawqara Formation in Zarqa Valley: Discovering, Studying, and Managing Paleolithic Sites" was held at the Faculty of Archaeology and Tourism, Petra Hall.

The lecture was delivered by Professor Fabio Parenti from the Federal University of Paraná, Curitiba, Brazil, and the Italian Institute of Human Paleontology, Anagni, Italy.

The Department of Archaeology organized this lecture, led by Prof. Dr. Maysoon Nahar, who introduced the lecturer and highlighted his extensive experience in academic projects related to early human settlements, particularly in mountainous regions in Jordan. Dr. Fuad Al-Horani from the Department of Heritage Resources Management and Maintenance also attended and participated in the lecture.

The event was attended by Dr. Khalid Al-Jabour, the Deputy Dean, Prof. Nizar Attarshan, Mrs. Lubna Al-Hijawi, the Assistant Dean for Quality and Graduate Affairs, faculty members, and students of the School. Sincere thanks and appreciation were extended to all who supported, contributed to, and participated in the success of this lecture.
