A scientific lecture titled: "Maintenance and Restoration Works in Petra."

The Department of Heritage Resources Management and Conservation, in collaboration with Sila Heritage Training and Preservation Company, presents a scientific lecture titled: "Maintenance and Restoration Works in Petra."

Presented by graduates of the department, Mr. Mohammed Alfalahat and Miss Khamael At-Tawisi, the lecture covers the following topics:
- Maintenance and restoration works in the Byzantine Church and the Blue Church.
- Maintenance and restoration works in the Great Temple.
- Maintenance works in the Roman Theater.

The aim is to introduce students to the maintenance and restoration works currently being carried out in Petra, raise awareness about the importance of preserving Jordanian heritage, and motivate them to work in this sector. The lecture is directed towards students enrolled in the Historical Building Maintenance and Restoration course (2632451), taught by Dr. Yazan Al-Tall, an associate professor in the department.

The lecture will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, at the Humanities Hall Complex (Room 14).
