The Department of Tourism Management hosted Mr. Faisal Abu Al-Sundus, Director of the Middle East Center for Empowering Initiatives, to speak about sustainable ecotourism in Jordan: an opportunity for development and environmental conservation.
The lecture was part of the expert hosting program in the Department of Tourism Management, within the course "Ecotourism," taught by Dr. Muna Al-Slaihat
The lecture focused on the role of ecotourism in improving the economic situation of local communities and protecting nature in areas such as nature reserves and ecologically significant tourist sites. It also highlighted how adopting sustainable tourism practices can enhance environmental awareness and encourage tourists to actively participate in preserving biodiversity and natural resources.
