The Pottery Study Laboratory

The Pottery Study Laboratory specializes in the study and analysis of pottery materials from prehistoric and historical periods. It serves as a scientific and training reference for students and researchers at the University of Jordan across various fields of study. The laboratory provides opportunities for students and researchers to identify different types of pottery used in various time periods, learn how to measure and record relevant data in computer systems. Statistical analysis software is used to convert this data into charts, aiding in the extraction of important information about ancient civilizations. This laboratory plays a vital role in advancing scientific research and enhancing students' abilities to study archaeological sites in Jordan. The Pottery Laboratory was established when the college moved to the new building in 2017, representing a valuable addition to archaeological studies.
